Mystic Skills sit above weapon identity
Martial Arts define the active weapon skills; Mystic Skills add techniques that can solve a combat or world problem across different loadouts. The official examples include Tai Chi, Lion's Roar and acupoint strikes. Their value comes from timing and purpose rather than filling every available slot.
Choose one tool for a recurring combat problem and one for exploration. Learn the animation, range and recovery before rotating several spectacular techniques that compete for the same opening.
Use Tai Chi as a response
Tai Chi expresses the wuxia idea of redirecting force. Look for an interaction the skill can answer, position so the redirected object or attack has somewhere useful to go, and avoid treating it as ordinary damage. The surrounding environment often explains why the technique is available.
Control creates safe decisions
Lion's Roar and acupoint techniques represent control-oriented answers. Use control to interrupt pressure, create room for recovery or establish the first step of a Path. Against bosses or PvP opponents, confirm the current rules because immunity, resistance and duration can differ from ordinary enemies.
Every new skill changes the map
When the story grants a Mystic Skill, revisit obstacles that visibly match its function. Environmental clues, movable objects and inaccessible routes become easier to interpret once the game has taught the corresponding verb. Celestial Seize is particularly important in Hidden Mountain, where mechanisms and vertical construction are part of navigation.
Keep a small return list rather than forcing every puzzle on the first visit. A later technique often turns an opaque obstacle into a satisfying, readable interaction.
Build a compact toolkit
Equip skills whose jobs you can name: interrupt, reposition, control, defensive reset or traversal. If two slots solve the same problem, replace one with a missing answer. This keeps Mystic Skills connected to the Path instead of becoming a separate collection of cooldowns.
