RAID Hydra guide — control Heads, survive Devour and build useful rotations
Approach the six-Champion Clan Boss by covering Provoke, Block Buffs, cleansing, protection and damage while adapting to the active Head rotation.

Hydra is a control problem with a damage test inside it
Hydra teams use six Champions against four active Heads selected from a larger set. Each Head changes priorities through effects such as cleansing, Poison Cloud, fear, buff interaction or provocation. Read the active rotation before building; a successful team covers its mechanics while still producing enough focused damage.
Block Buffs is a high-value answer because it prevents several Head advantages. Provoke can control the Head of Decay when applied reliably. Cleansing or debuff protection keeps key Champions functional, while healing, Shields, Strengthen or damage mitigation extend the attempt.
Prepare for Devour
Hydra marks a Champion and eventually consumes that target. Concentrate damage on the responsible Head to free the Champion before the counter expires. Save important attacks when a Devour window is approaching rather than spending every cooldown as soon as it appears.
Decapitating a Head creates a damage opportunity, but the exposed neck is temporary and the Head will return. Align major damage and debuffs with that window when doing so does not leave the team defenseless.
Hex turns mechanics into access
Hex supports damage against otherwise awkward targets and interacts strongly with Hydra specialists. Mithrala is earned through Hydra fragments and then becomes one of the mode's most useful supports: Hex, cleansing, defensive buffs and her Accuracy-to-Resistance passive all serve the encounter.
HP Burn and Enemy MAX HP damage can be effective depending on the Champion and current rules. Read live skill and boss descriptions before assuming an older strategy still uses the same caps.
Use the free regroup as a laboratory
Hydra lets players reconsider an attempt before accepting its result. Use that opportunity to identify which Head or effect broke the run. Change one preset, target priority or Champion role, then compare. The goal is a team whose mechanics remain stable across the full key, not a perfect opening followed by collapse.
