NTE Limited Board pity — 70-roll Modified state and 90-roll guarantee
Understand shared character pity, the Modified rate-up state, the guaranteed roll, and which event progress does or does not carry between Boards.
On the documented 2026 Limited Boards, the featured S-Class character is guaranteed within 90 rolls. After 70 consecutive rolls without that character, the Board enters a Modified rate-up state. Getting the featured character resets that character pity cycle.
What carries across Limited Boards
Official Board rules state that Limited Boards share the S-Class character pity counter, Points Gift progress, and Board Modification progress. This allows a player to stop one character Board without discarding those shared counters.
What does not automatically carry
Board-specific cosmetic or Skin Perks progress belongs to the named Board. Official notices warn that such progress does not carry to a different Limited Board. Read the exact perk panel before treating a cumulative outfit milestone like character pity.
Baseline and Modified states
Boards start in Baseline. After 70 consecutive misses on the featured S-Class character, the Board becomes Modified, increasing the featured rate according to the live rules. If the featured character has not appeared after 89 rolls, roll 90 grants that character automatically.
This is a ceiling, not an instruction to spend until the ceiling. Count the currency already available, the remaining event time, and whether the character completes a real team.
Use four account checks before rolling
- Team: which existing four-character team gains a legal Esper Cycle or missing role?
- Arc and gear: can the account support the character beyond acquisition?
- Pity: what shared progress is visible on the live Board?
- Perks: which cosmetic or milestone progress is Board-specific?
Why a universal tier list is insufficient
Character value changes with role, Cycle compatibility, Awakening, Arc, Consoles, Modules, equipment, and activity. A letter grade without those assumptions should not decide a 90-roll commitment. Build from the owned roster and verified team need.
