Star Trek Fleet Command officer crews — three real setups and how to adapt them
Start from the target, activate the Captain's Maneuver and use three official crew examples as patterns rather than permanent tier rankings.

Start with the target
Name the activity first: ordinary hostiles, Armadas, mining, station defense or PvP. Reject any ability whose condition cannot activate there. Then choose the Captain's Maneuver, add bridge Officer Abilities and synergy, and use below-deck slots only for stats or effects that support the same target.
Test against the same enemy level, class and type. The battle report should show whether the change improved damage, mitigation or survival.
General hostile hunting: Pike, Moreau and Suder
Scopely uses Pike, Moreau and Suder as a hostile-hunting example. Pike strengthens Moreau's contribution, while Suder adds a hull-repair interaction that supports longer farming. Use the setup as a model for compatible conditions, then confirm current ranks and ability text on your account.
Strange New Worlds class matching
A second official pattern uses SNW Pike with an SNW bridge officer selected for the ship class, plus Suder. SNW Spock or Uhura and Ortegas do not belong in the slot merely because they share a group; choose the officer whose class condition matches the hull and target.
Sustained hostile farming: Ent-E Picard, Ent-E Data and Suder
Scopely also presents Ent-E Picard, Ent-E Data and Suder for longer hostile sessions. The lesson is survivability across repeated engagements. Compare repair cost and the number of hostiles cleared, not only the first report's damage.
These are examples of the crew-building method, not permanent universal best crews. New officers and balance changes can alter the strongest option.
Spend toward one crew threshold
Officer levels raise statistics; promotions use shards and resources to improve long-term potential. Fund the crew that serves the next activity and stop when the required ability or bridge-stat threshold is reached. A famous Epic officer with an inactive condition remains a passenger.
Maintain separate presets for hostiles, mining and group combat. PvP advice needs current counters, so verify live descriptions and reports before transferring a PvE crew into a competitive target.
