Crusader and Monk in Ragnarok: The New World — current second-job branches
Current official storefront art adds Crusader to Swordman and Monk to Acolyte; choose the branch by party role and equipment plan.

Current official Google Play imagery states that Crusader and Monk are available as new second-job branches. Crusader extends Swordman alongside Knight; Monk extends Acolyte alongside Priest. Use the current regional client's job-change panel for exact level, quest, and item requirements because those details are not stated in the accessible first-party storefront copy.
Swordman: Knight or Crusader
Swordman begins as the durable melee base job. The classic route is Knight, while the newer storefront presentation adds Crusader. The update art gives Crusader a shield-forward, armored identity, making it the branch to inspect when defensive party play is the goal.
Do not choose from the name alone. In the active client, compare:
- the branch's weapon and shield requirements;
- which skills protect the character versus the party;
- whether the intended activity rewards durability, threat control, or damage;
- how much current Swordman equipment remains useful after the branch change.
A player focused on frontline security should examine Crusader first. A player who wants the more established offensive Swordman route should compare Knight's current skill panel.
Acolyte: Priest or Monk
Acolyte starts with healing, protection, and holy damage. Priest continues the direct support identity. Monk gives the base job a combat-focused branch, shown in current official art as a close-range fighter.
The practical decision is responsibility. Choose Priest when a group needs dependable healing and support. Inspect Monk when active melee pressure is more important than being the primary healer. Before committing equipment, compare which Acolyte items remain relevant and whether the group still has support coverage.
Avoid copied unlock claims
The accessible official image confirms branch availability but does not state a universal level, quest name, material cost, or server schedule. Those values can differ by region or client update. Follow the current job-change interface and its prerequisite quest in your service.
This guide deliberately avoids repeating an unlock number from a fan page as if it were universal. A future revision can add exact requirements once a first-party update page or documented current-client test establishes them for a named service.
Equipment is the real commitment
Job Freedom allows free stat and skill resets, but it does not make every branch share an ideal weapon or armor plan. Before advancing:
- keep the current base-job build functional;
- inspect the target branch's equipment requirements;
- reserve materials instead of spending everything on a soon-to-change item;
- test the branch's role in appropriate group content;
- refine only after deciding that the branch will remain active.
Crusader and Monk increase choice; they do not remove the need for an equipment plan.
